Eric Allen

As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalties on Chicago radio.  When I became a Christian as a teenager and discovered Christian music, I knew I wanted to combine my love of radio with music that truly is life-changing.  Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-year-old.  Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, and California and along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.

When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family.  My wife Julie does speaking in churches and retreats, my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is crazy about animals - especially our dog Zack.  We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together!  I’m heavily involved in my church and work with an organization called CURE International. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no - so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

I consider it a privilege to share life and this great music with you on the radio.

I'd love to hear from you too. Send me an email at studio@shine1049.org.
