The Washing Spokane '24

Living Hope Church
918 E Garland Ave, Spokane

May 31 - June 4, 2024

The Washing is a round-the-clock Bible reading and prayer event. The Bible will be openly declared from cover to cover, while continuous intercession and prayers arise. The vision of The Washing is to unleash the power of prayer and the declared Word of God to foster a culture of transformational revival in our cities, states, and nation.

The Washing begins with a rally at the church at 6:30pm Friday, May31. At 8pm the first 2-hour session begins.  A Session is a group of people - bible study, church group, youth group, etc. - numbering between 3-8 people.  This group registers and reserves one or more 2-hour time slots.  During their time slot one person reads, out loud and typically outside, while the others in the group pray.  After 15-20 minutes the next person swaps with the reader.  The reader joins in with the on-going prayers while this next person starts reading from where in scripture the last person finished. So, everyone gets a chance to read while everyone has also been praying.  At the end of their Session (2 hours) the next group comes in and continues where the previous group left off.  In this manner the bible is openly declared, Genesis through Revelation, while prayers are continually lifted up to the throne of Father God.  This continues round-the-clock until sometime Tuesday morning, June 4, typically about 42 sessions or 84 hours.
