This FREE class will be an overview of trafficking, what it is, what it is not, and those who are vulnerable. We will be discussing myths of trafficking, and the various types of trafficking. We will also discuss the trafficker’s role and various recruitment tactics that are used. We will briefly cover trauma bonding to bring an understanding as to why those being trafficked stay. We will close out this class by talking about how the community at large can help in the fight against trafficking.

Internet Safety - Tuesday, November 28, 2023 6-7:30pm
Are my kids at risk? How do I keep them safe from online predators? What apps/platforms do they use to find potential victims? In this FREE class we will be teaching how to keep your kids safe online by understanding the signs of grooming and tactics used by traffickers. We will go into a greater depth of how traffickers groom and recruit their victims. We will discuss apps that are commonly used in recruiting and grooming and how to have conversations with your children to keep them safe through educating them on the dangers of internet grooming.
This class is offered for FREE, but registration is encouraged, as seats are limited. Adult subject matter, ages 14+ recommended. Register here.
