Derek Cutlip grew up in Arizona and attended school at the University of Arizona before transferring to Whitworth College in 1986.
After falling in love with the Inland Northwest and four true seasons of the year, and also having no desire to move back to the Desert Southwest, God called him to a youth ministry position in Sandpoint, Idaho from 1987-1990.
He landed a job at a prominent Christian radio station in 1991 when moving back to Spokane, and eventually moved to Colfax, Washington to continue school and finish earning his degree at Washington State University (Go Cougs!).
After seven years in Colfax as the Associate Pastor at Community Bible Church, God called Derek back to Radio Ministry in Spokane. He served as an On-Air Personality with KTSL 101.9FM from 1999-2002 and then moved to Moody Radio 107.9FM as Morning Host from 2002-2010.
He currently serves as Area Director with Safe Families for Children, is Morning Producer/Host with Shine 104.9FM, and is the Owner/Operator of Veritas Vox Production Studios.
Derek grew up in the Church, and gave his life to Jesus in the summer of ’79 at a Church Camp in Arizona. He has two beautiful daughters, Shilah Grace (25) and Caelah Rae (20). He enjoys music, golfing, camping, Arizona Basketball (Go Cats!) and Gonzaga Basketball (Go Zags). His favorite scripture is Colossians 3:12 -17 and his favorite movie is Princess Bride and any ‘True to Life’ Biopic that has to do with music…
