Forged - Outdoor Adventure Weekend for Men

Forged began when a group of men from Summit Northwest Ministries (Post Falls, ID) decided they weren’t satisfied with status quo Christianity. They wanted to become better husbands, fathers, boyfriends, brothers, men in their community. They also believed that the Christian life is not meant to be dull or boring. Instead, it is an adventure requiring bravery, courage, and grit. It is not only filled with battles to be fought and challenges to be overcome, but also should include joy and a few good-natured shenanigans. This led to the creation of a movement focused on growth and building a strong community of Christian men.

The Forged weekend is designed for men who don’t normally go to retreats. It is a chance to connect with a group of guys, participate in some weekend shenanigans, support each other and be challenged to grow. Whether you are a someone who likes to blow things up, or who would rather hang out and heckle those who do, this weekend is for you. We want to be better bachelors, friends, husbands, fathers, and followers of Christ, and we plan to have a good time doing it.

This year's focus is on how finding peace and balance in the outdoors mirrors finding peace and balance in our spiritual lives as well. In addition to worship, optional activities include: water sports, hiking, target shooting, golf, and many others. Three meals a day are provided and lodging cabins are located on the shores of beautiful Hayden Lake, Idaho.
